Location is convenient—Garment District on 35th St, right near Penn Station, Macy's, Herald Square, and easy subway access. About 10-15 min walk to Times Square and Midtown sights—good for train travelers or shopping without being overwhelmed by crowds. Rooms were clean, comfy beds, good AC/fridge/microwave, and quiet. Solid size for NYC, modern enough, though nothing luxurious. Service was excellent—super friendly staff, warm check-in, quick help with requests, and attentive throughout. Free hot breakfast had decent variety (eggs, waffles, coffee—usually fresh). Great value and comfort—would stay again! 4 stars.

We recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn New York/West 35th Street for a family holiday, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Nicolas on reception and his team were absolutely amazing. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. What really stood out was when our trip was unexpectedly extended due to the blizzard in New York. Nicolas and the team accommodated us seamlessly and took all the stress out of what could have been a very difficult situation. Nothing felt like too much trouble. They truly made us feel right at home during a challenging time, which meant so much to us as a family. The service was professional yet personal, and it’s clear the team genuinely care about their guests. We’re so grateful for the kindness and support we received and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. Thank you again to Nicolas and the entire team for turning a stressful situation into such a positive experience — we won’t forget it! Ben and Family

I absolutely loved my stays at the Hilton on 35th Street in New York City! In July 2024, I spent 10 wonderful days there, and I was so impressed that I returned in July 2025 for an even longer trip of 12 days. Both experiences were fantastic, and the hotel truly feels like a home away from home in the heart of mid Manhattan . The location is unbeatable—right in the middle of Manhattan, with easy access to Times Square, the Empire State Building, and great shopping and dining options. The rooms are modern, clean, and spacious, with comfortable beds that made relaxing after long days of exploring a breeze. The amenities, including the fitness center and rooftop bar, added that extra touch of luxury. What really stood out both years was the outstanding service from the staff. A special shoutout to the incredibly friendly Korean receptionist who greeted me with a warm smile each time—she made check-in seamless and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Since it was summer (and NYC can get hot!), they kindly provided complimentary 500ml bottles of Poland Spring water upon arrival both in 2024 and 2025, which was such a thoughtful gesture to keep guests hydrated. Overall, this Hilton exceeded my expectations on every visit. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality in the Big Apple. I'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A great place to stay in NYC. Its really close to times square, rockefeller building and many more tourist attractions. They do not have a parking there but you can find other parking spots nearby. Parking prices are crazy tho over $50/ night. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel. Pretty clean, right behind the metro stations and most tourists attractions.

It’s fine but I wouldn’t pay luxury prices (above 250 or so) to stay here. Good location. I spent about 200 a night in Jan and it was a decent stay. The biggest downside was the service at reception- they were quick but didn’t seem very welcoming. Usually when you check into a hotel you get a 30s spiel- here’s when breakfast is, here’s the floor for the fitness center, here’s when checkout is, etc. The guy who checked me in, an older man with a beard (Lebanese maybe?) didn’t give me that at all. I appreciate a fast check in process sure but it’s kind of a basic to tell people this stuff in a couple sentences. They do have a self check out for getting snacks/drinks at reception which is nice. The room was fine- clean but a few things missing. No do not disturb sign, no hand soap in the bathroom(although there was a bottle of shower gel mounted to the wall, I guess they want you to use that?). The manual metal flap to prevent people from coming into the room wouldn’t stay “flipped” open, although the main lock engaged a deadbolt so that seemed safe enough for the stay. They have ice machines on maybe 8 floors throughout the hotel. The lobby was fine, but they had the music pretty loud, maybe to discourage guests from hanging out there long? There is a bar but it’s perplexingly only open on weeknights. The location is really good, it’s basically in Herald Square and very close to train and bus stops. There’s a target nearby too. Overall I’d stay there again on a normal trip or a business trip. If I was coming for a special trip or paying like crazy December prices I’d want to pick somewhere else.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in New York. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around the city and enjoy everything NYC has to offer. The hotel is very clean, and the room was comfortable, well maintained, and exactly what I needed after long days in the city. Everything felt taken care of and thoughtfully prepared. What truly made the difference was the reception team. Everyone at the front desk was professional, kind, and welcoming from start to finish. A special thank you to Marilyn, who was absolutely amazing — attentive, warm, and always ready to help with a smile. She made me feel genuinely welcome and well cared for. This hotel combines a great location, cleanliness, and exceptional hospitality. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I stayed here in January for a few nights while I was in town for an event. The room had a lovely view of the Empire State Building and was clean, modern, and comfortable. The on-site breakfast options were great for days when the weather wasn’t the best for going out, and the 24/7 grab & go store was super convenient. There are lots of attractions within a walkable distance, as well as a close proximity to the subway. The staff I interacted with was friendly and helpful as well.

Do yourself a favor and request room 1906! We had a great view of the Empire State Building! This hotel is so close to shopping, food, and the train! The train entrance is literally just around the corner and you are no more than 20 minutes from one edge of Manhattan to the other! The room was spacious considering staying in the heart of Manhattan. The quick mart in the lobby is good if you are ever in a pinch late at night. I never made it to breakfast so I am not sure how that was unfortunately. Same can be said for the hotel bar. The price was right and the location was unbeatable, definitely would come back.
